Smiths Falls, Ontario
Watermain Spatial Analysis
The municipality of Smiths Falls requested assistance with their existing watermains network, identifying regions of vulnerability and cost-to-repair. Through several landuse-based MCEs, we created an Asset Levels of Service (ALoS) map to identify where pipes were most likely to fail and the relative cost to fix. Showcased here is the visual product delivered to the superintendent. Full report available upon request.
Lake Erie, Ontario
Surface Water Inundation Time-Series
Through the Google Earth Engine and the Landsat collection, a monthly surface water time-series was created. The sub-pixel water fractioning (SWF) method using machine learning was applied over the Lake Erie Basin aiming to address recent rises in eutrophication within the Great Lakes. Showcased here is an example of these methods and their current results; full project and scripts available upon request.
